Outdoor Experience Crawford Lake Hike
This hike rocks. Travelling by bus, participants will head to Crawford Lake, part of Conservation Halton Parks. There, we will enjoy a 1.5-hour hike guided by our staff while exploring the 15th-century Longhouse Village and experiencing what daily life was like for Indigenous people in the area over 600 years ago. Hikers can expect to see a variety of plants and animals, and the unique body of water of Crawford Lake. Come enjoy the fresh air and the feeling of the earth beneath your feet.
This Outdoor X trip runs during Fall Reading Week, on Friday, Oct. 6. It is a total of 3.5 hours. We will be leaving the Tait McKenzie Centre at 10 a.m. Price includes transportation, access to the park and a snack.
Those attending must have proper footwear, such as running or hiking shoes. The hike happens rain or shine, so please dress according to the weather. We recommend comfortable, athletic layers (no jeans). Water and a snack will be provided part way through the trip, but please bring a reusable water bottle and any other snacks you may want to stay energized throughout the day.
Disclosure: This trip involves moderate exertion levels. There may be unpredictable terrain.
