YU Speak: Where Ideas Take Shape
YU Speak is a supportive, hands-on workshop series designed to help you build confidence, strengthen your communication skills, and become a more effective presenter. Through interactive activities, peer feedback, and guided practice, you’ll learn how to:
- Understand your audience and craft clear, engaging messages
- Structure presentations and tell compelling stories
- Design effective slides and visual aids
- Improve delivery, body language, and presentation presence
- Navigate group and online presentations with confidence
Whether you’re preparing for class presentations, competitions, interviews, or future career opportunities, YU Speak provides a low-stakes environment to practice and grow. Students can also earn certificates and participation badges by completing workshop milestones.
Location: Markham Campus, Room 2050
Format: 6-week series (5 workshops + 1 culminating presentation event)
Duration: Every Thursdays from 10:00am – 11:30am
