Citation analysis tools for mapping the literature
Citation analysis is a way of measuring the relative importance or impact of author, article or publication, and exploring links between them. Citation analysis can support the early stages of research by summarizing and mapping existing knowledge and research on a particular subject, and identifying gaps in the literature. It can also be used to assess the impact of your own work, such as for grant applications or the trends, collaboration patterns and domain structures of a field or research network. In this workshop, a variety of citation analysis and knowledge map tools, such as LitMaps, Connected Papers and Inciteful, will be introduced to help you analyze and visualize the literature and citation relationships.
