CineSiege 2021: A Showcase of Juried Films from the Department of Cinema and Media Arts, York University

Experience a new generation of film talent!

In its 19th year, CineSiege will continue to celebrate cinema with an online presentation made possible by the continued support of our founding sponsor, Cinespace and the Mirkopoulos family.

The CineSiege 2021 films were selected from over 200 student productions made in the 2020/21 school year, with the winning films chosen by a jury of program alumni. Winners are honoured in fiction, documentary and alternative genre and five craft categories (cinematography, writing, editing, sound and production design) for exceptional achievement in the art and craft of cinema.

The nominees were reviewed by four jurors: Nada El-Omari, Hugh Gibson, Avrïl Jacobson and Jared Raab.
