York University R&B Ensemble

The York University Rhythm and Blues Ensemble, “Soul Collective,” features 18 students from the York University Music Program ranging from first to fourth-year undergraduates. Performing in this ensemble has exposed students to the rich and diverse literature associated with the genre, and has aided these young professionals to develop crucial musicianship skills.

“Soul Collective” performs classic repertoire including Michael Jackson, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Blood Sweat and Tears, Tina Turner and much more.
