York U Scholars’ Hub Speaker Series at Markham Public Library

Markham Public Libraryand York University invite you to the York University Scholars’ Hub in Markham.
At this session, Dr. Scott Menary, a York University Professor in physics and astronomy, will deliver histalk titled Antigravity: Would an anti-apple fall up?
The strength and sign of thegravitational interaction between matter and antimatter (so-called ‘antigravity’) is still an openexperimental question. Dr. Menary will discuss some arguments and measurementswhich shed light on the issue. Finally, hewill describe plannedantigravity experiments involving antihydrogen with an emphasis onthe ALPHA experiment at the CERN Laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland.
