York-2-York staff and students step challenge: registration open
We are back, York!
York 2 York is back for its third year and we want to go bigger than ever. Last year, we attempted with teams of 8 to travel from our Keele Campus – Vari Hall to the Schulich Campus in India. After combining teams, some made it, but we wanted to try again. If at first, you don’t succeed, right?
So, this year, we are attempting the same distance, but, with larger teams. We are allowing teams of up to 20 individuals to challenge themselves to take small movement breaks throughout their day to move their team to India. And, for the teams that want to try a little further, we are even allowing folks to attempt to return to the Tait McKenzie Centre on our Keele Campus.
But remember, whether you make it to the endpoint or not is not the point of York-2-York. The point is to connect and engage with others on campus, make new friends, be active in ways you can, and have fun. We know some teams get a little competitive, and that’s okay! As long as everyone is having fun!
Because of the larger teams, prices from last year have changed slightly.
For those who have 13 people or more in mind that they would like to participate with, we would suggest registering for the team registration for $120.00. Teams can be up to 20 individuals. During registration, you will be asked to provide the name of your team, the name of your designated captain, and their contact information to get everyone’s information.
For individual participants or those who have 12 people or less for a team, we would suggest registering individually for $10.00 to participate. During registration, those registering will be asked to indicate the individuals they would like to be on a team with. There will be a follow-up email to determine the team captain and team name.
