Women and Girls Leadership and Sport Conference (WGLSC)

The Women & Girls Leadership and Sport Conference is back for 2021! York University Athletics & Recreation is proud to present a virtual conference on April 30 via Zoom.
In hosting the WGLSC, the Lions will open York’s doors to the sport community to engage, educate, and empower women, girls, and allies to enhance leadership opportunities for women in sport. One of Athletics & Recreation’s mandates is to play a leadership role in advancing women’s initiatives and bringing the WGLSC to York is an integral part of the department’s long-term strategy.
The WGLSC is spearheaded by Lions Women’s Volleyball Head Coach, Jennifer Neilson, who founded and organized the first edition of the event in 2019. Neilson is looking forward to seeing the WGLSC continue with a virtual platform!
