Visual Art Speaker Series: Julia Dault

Toronto-based artist Julia Dault has been the subject of solo exhibitions at 3:e Våningen, Gothenburg, Sweden; the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver; and The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, Toronto. Her paintings and sculptures were featured in the New Museum’s triennial and the Marrakesh and Gwangju Biennales as well as group exhibitions at such institutions as Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam; the Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw; the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Houston; and the Pérez Art Museum, Miami, and are in the permanent collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago; and the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto, among others. Dault’s work will be included in “Hinge Picture, Memory Images” at the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans in spring 2019.

She is represented by Marianne Boesky GalleryNew York; Galerie AntoineErtaskiran,Montreal; and China Art Objects, Los Angeles.

The Visual Art Speaker Series is organized by the Department of Visual Art & Art History in the School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design.
