Video Game Preservation Talk followed by Tetris Film Screening – CANCELLED

Sensorium: Centre for Digital Art and Technology, in partnership with Yifat Shaik and Digital Media at YorkU, is pleased to present Video Game Preservation, a talk by Chris J. Young, Head of Collections & Digital Scholarship at UTM Library. Young will discuss the complexities and importance of preservation for video games with specific reference to the Syd Bolton collection at UTM. Following the talk there will be a screening of Tetris (2023), a film based on true events around the race to license and patent the video game Tetris from Russia in the late 1980s.
