UHN Summer Research
UHN is hosting a virtual information session on how to obtain paid summer research positions at the University Health Network (UHN) on November 27, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. They will provide information on UHN summer research programs and tips and tricks for applying to lower the barrier to obtaining these positions.
Join the Office of Research Trainees (ORT) on November 27, 2024, at 12:00 pm to explore Summer Research Opportunities at the University Health Network (UHN)! UHN scientists perform research in diverse fields of science including biology, biochemistry, medical biophysics, neuroscience, psychology, stem cells, genetics, cancer, immunology, transplant, heart disease, rehabilitation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, education, and more!
The session will:
Highlight paid summer research opportunities and programs at UHN
Share tips on how to apply to positions – including advice from a UHN scientist and former UHN summer student
Offer advice on how to prepare for interviews
Identify summer research awards
Help you understand what to expect in summer research positions (i.e. pay, expectations)
Showcase learning opportunities available to you during the summer and give you a chance to have your questions answered!
This learning session aims to help make summer research positions accessible to everyone, regardless of background. No previous research experience is required.
How do I register?
To register for this event, follow the steps below:
- Log-in to Experience York
- Select “Employer Events” in the menu on the left-hand side of the page
- Navigate to the event you want to register for in the events calendar
- Select the event and click the “Register for the event” button in the event listing
