Leading Canadian poet and international exponent of dub poetry Lillian Allen is a foremother of Canadian poetry. She is a Juno award winner, lifelong arts activist, cultural strategist, and Professor of Creative Writing at OCAD. An award-winning mentor and ‘Godmother of Everything,’ Allen’s publications include Make the World New, Women Do this Every Day, Psychic Unrest, and several books and recordings for children and young people. Allen’s work is taught widely, and she continues to perform to appreciative audiences worldwide.
