
Synthetic Horizons: A showcase of student creative works made with generative AI
First year students at York University’s new Markham Campus are exploring the creative potential and ethical implications of working with artificial intelligence tools. The public showcase of their semester’s work is entitled “Synthetic Horizons”. Class explorations have produces generated text, image, videos, music and game soundtracks, podcasts, essays, animation, AI voice and video clones, coding and interactive games, fashion and graphic design, and even tested AI as part of a learning system to augment traditional skillsets, such as aiding pattern making for crochet and beadwork.
