ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Eric Armstrong is Chair of the Department of Theatre & Performance at York University, where he teaches actors how to use their voices. He has taught and coached in Canada and the US for 30 years. His creative work is focused on accent and language coaching for theatre, television, film, and gaming. Perhaps his best-known work is creating and coaching the “Belter” accent for Amazon Prime Video’s The Expanse.
Meet Lan Vu the International Recruitment Officer for the York University School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD). Lan holds a master’s degree in education from Canada, where she was once an international student herself. With 15 years of experience in student advisory roles, Lan has been a guiding light for countless students navigating their educational journeys.
