ABOUT THE EVENT
Join Professor Mark-David Hosale for an exciting presentation about York University’s Digital Media Program (BA). Discover how this unique program blends elements of arts and engineering together to open doors for interdisciplinary careers at the intersection of art, science, and technology. In the program, students use code and programming as tools for creative expression in forms such as games, immersive and 3D environments, internet of things (IoT), interactive performance, and data visualization.

Note: this program is jointly offered by the School of Arts, Media, Performance, and Design and Lassonde School of Engineering.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Dr. Mark-David Hosale is a computational artist and composer. His work explores the boundaries between the virtual and the physical world through diverse projects in music, theatre, public art, and collaborations with architects, scientists and other artists. In the Digital Media Program, Mark-David teaches how to create sound, images, and art with computers, and ways to explore electronics in art and design for 3D printing and laser cutting.

Meet Lan Vu the International Recruitment Officer for the York University School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD). Lan holds a master’s degree in education from Canada, where she was once an international student herself. With 15 years of experience in student advisory roles, Lan has been a guiding light for countless students navigating their educational journeys.
