ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Dr. Rebecca Caines is a versatile professor, artist, and writer, specializing in community engagement, project management, interdisciplinary creativity, sound, and mobile devices. She creates art, collaborates with industry partners in health, education, and technology, and publishes in academic journals. Currently, she’s the Project Lead for a new Creative Technologies program at York University, offered exclusively at York’s new Markham Campus starting September 2024. Her courses cover project facilitation, digital culture, and topics like sound, artificial intelligence (AI), and live event technology.
Meet Lan Vu the International Recruitment Officer for the York University School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD). Lan holds a master’s degree in education from Canada, where she was once an international student herself. With 15 years of experience in student advisory roles, Lan has been a guiding light for countless students navigating their educational journeys.
