Sound and Sense: Jewish Music @ York – David Eisenstadt

The Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Studies and the Department of Music in the School of the Arts, Media, Performance and Design  present Under the Radar: Notable Canadian Jewish Musicians.

What do The Diamonds, Jerry Gray & The Travellers, Moe Koffman, Marc Jordan, Sophie Milman and Howard Shore have in common? All are chaptered in David Eisenstadt’s first book -Under The Radar – 30 Notable Canadian Jewish Musicians. 24 other talented performers are also featured. Join us for a fun evening where David will discuss his insights about many of the performers and share some of their music.

David Eisenstadt is a Public Relations Consultant who at the outset of the Covid pandemic began a hobby writing columns about Canadian Jewish musicians. Writing for various online publications, the columns morphed into a special collection – two books (Under The Radar – 30 Notable Canadian Jewish Musicians AND Musicians Under The Radar – 36 Notable Canadian Jewish Performers).
