Social for Good: Building Mental Health Support Networks for Youth in the Digital Space
Join us for a round table conversation with a group of trailblazing mental health advocates.
Panelists include Dr. Kojo Sarfo, Steven Sharpe Jr., Wynnikka Matthews and York University’s Dr. Agnes Berthelot-Raffard, assistant professor in the School of Health Policy and Management at the Faculty of Health.
The panelists will:
• Share lived experiences centered around mental health and well-being and address stigmas and barriers to access/support.
• Lean into the power of internal resilience, touching on external support systems.
• Share information on Black student mental health research and online resources.
• Offer helpful perspectives and strategies to encourage better mental health and well-being. Touching on the need for online support systems, particularly when local communities are not a viable resource.
