Smyth Dialogues SHELTER IN PLACE: A CONVERSATION ON COMMUNITY, CONNECTION AND REFUGE
How do we understand refuge and create it for ourselves and our communities? Join us for the 2022 Smyth Dialogues with award-winning authors Billy-Ray Belcourt and David Chariandy as they discuss refuge, safety, and our connections and disconnections with family, community and culture.
Hosted by Lily Cho, Associate Dean, Global & Community Engagement, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, this event will feature two of Canada’s most noteworthy writing talents engaging in a lively panel discussion around the idea of refuge. There will also be a Q&A session.
You have the option to attend this event virtually via Zoom (7 pm start for speakers’ panel) or in person (6 pm start, includes reception) at York’s Keele campus.
