SHIFT 2025: DESN Grad Exhibition Show

The DESN Class of 2025 at York University invites friends, family, designers, and industry professionals to their Grad Exhibition, SHIFT.

We are a team of 49 designers united in creativity – refining pixels, perfecting typography, and bringing this exhibition to life from the ground up.

To SHIFT is to challenge the conventional, to divert focus from the mundane and embrace a more imaginative, bold, and playful approach to creativity.  SHIFT is a safe space for self-expression, where randomness, humour, and shared uncertainty offers a sense of connection. By embracing the absurd, chaos transforms into something meaningful–a space where everyone can explore, express, and find a sense of belonging.

Much like the Shift key on a keyboard, which transforms text to uppercase and amplifies its presence, SHIFT amplifies voices, ideas, and narratives that break free from traditional expectations. We unapologetically shift away from conformity, offering a platform where the absurd becomes a powerful tool for deeper expression.
