Scholars’ Hub @ Home: The role of single use plastics in promoting a sustainable circular economy ft. Calvin Lakhan

Single use plastics has become a dirty term – the overwhelming sentiment by government, industry and even consumers are that single use plastics are bad and should ultimately be banned. But the situation isn’t as black and white as it seems. This presentation will explore both the issues surrounding the use and proliferation of single use plastics, as well as the role that single use plastics can play in promoting a more sustainable and equitable future.

Join Calvin Lakhan, Research Scientist in the Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change on Oct. 11 via Zoom at 12 p.m. as he explores the role of single use plastics
