Loneliness and COVID-19 – You, me and the virus that changed our lives
Dr. Ami Rokach, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Health
Many people say that the social isolation they experienced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused them to feel disconnected, lonely, anxious and lost. Dr. Ami Rokach’s presentation will discuss loneliness, its manifestations, the difference between loneliness and solitude, and how social distancing – a common misnomer can be turned into a period quite different from what is commonly experienced. In this talk, he will explain why we have the power and ability to decide how we spend this time huddled at home.
