Scholars’ Hub @ Home: Black Feminism: critical thinking from a Cameroonian perspective
Join Rose Ndengue, Assistant Professor, Department of History, Glendon College as she examines the reorganization of the Cameroonian nationalist women’s movement UDEFEC (Democratic Union of Cameroonian Women), in Babimbi, a rural region, located in French-ruled Cameroon.
Dr. Ndengue will highlight the experiences and voices of African women living in rural areas, which remain largely invisible within the space of knowledge production and validation. She will also examine the ways in which Black women are building their social and political liberation tools within a rich and complex cartography of contexts.
