[Scholarly Skills Webinar] AI in Graduate Research: Dos, Dont’s, and Ongoing Discoveries
The Faculty of Graduate Studies is hosting a series entitled Scholarly Skills. Join us for our next workshop!
Generative AI is rapidly reshaping the landscape for both graduate student and faculty researchers, influencing how we approach literature reviews, data analysis, experimental parameters, writing and discovery. This workshop, hosted by the Vice-Provost & Dean of Graduate studies, will help you explore what responsible and effective use of AI tools can look like, in a wide variety of academic research tasks. We will discuss best practices for integrating AI (or not!) into various research tasks and workflows, discuss some of the common pitfalls and ethical considerations, and gain insight into how AI is shaping the future of scholarship. Join us to reflect and discuss how AI can enhance (not replace) critical thinking, creativity, and academic integrity in graduate research.
