Scholarly Skills Webinar: Navigating Academic Milestones
The Faculty of Graduate Studies is hosting a series entitled Scholarly Skills. Join us for our next workshop!
What are academic milestones, and why do they matter? Graduate school can sometimes feel confusing, and milestones help provide a clearer road map. They mark key stages in your degree, help you reflect on your progress, and make sure you are moving toward completion.
Join Dean MacLachlan and Associate Dean Ojo, both experienced graduate supervisors, as they explore the milestones that shape your graduate journey, including coursework, comprehensive exams, supervisory committees, proposals, and defences.
This session will also cover planning and project management, best practices, important administrative details, and the supports and resources available to help you succeed throughout your degree and beyond.
Date: Wednesday, April 8, 2026
Time: 12:00-1:00 p.m. (ET)
Location: Virtual Workshop via Zoom Webinar
