Safety During COVID-19: Challenges and Strategies for Effective Safety Planning – National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women

This presentation will focus on how the pandemic can uniquely impact survivors of intimate partner violence. Presenter will identify forms of abuse related to COVID-19 as well as challenges/barriers to seeking help within communities and systems shutdown and/or overwhelmed by the pandemic. General and specific safety-planning strategies will be explored, as well as a discussion around thinking “outside the box” to promote safety and well-being for survivors.
