Pre-Departure Risk Management Training
This session is for all Students going abroad on university sanctioned travel and is intended to help them identify and mitigate the risks associated with travel to their destination and works with them to develop risk mitigation strategies.
Topics covered in pre-departure training.
- Travel preparations (research about destination, flight, accommodation arrangements)
- Health and Wellness
- Risk Management (Risk assessment Planning, waiver, emergency contact card, Registration of Canadians abroad)
- Graduate students should follow The Graduate Student Risk Assessment Guidelines of the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) when developing Risk assessment plans.
