Plotting and Programming in Python for Non-Coders
This workshop, which takes place across two sessions on February 18th and 19th, is an introduction to programming in Python for people with little or no previous programming experience. Using some supplied data, you will learn the basics of working with the flexible and powerful Python programming language. Material will cover basic programming concepts, loading and working with data, and using libraries to create graphs and charts. Workshop benefits: (1) Get an introduction to how programming can automate repetitive or large tasks (2) Have your own computer set up to support your own exploration with Python and coding (3) Understand how to load raw data into a format that makes processing and manipulation easier (4) Build simple plots and graphs of data to help with exploration and analysis. The workshop will require you to use your own laptop. Please install the Anaconda Individual Edition before the class — see installation instructions for Windows and MacOS.
