
Overcoming Intellectual Property Issues Facing Artists, Writers, and Designers Seminar
Sensorium is co-presenting a seminar on IP issues pertaining to creative works with the IP Innovation Clinic on March 11. This will be a very interesting and valuable opportunity for artists producing work in any medium.
Intellectual Property (IP) issues are becoming exceedingly important for artists to consider, from protecting one’s own work to navigating issues surrounding infringement. This workshop will cover key points that artists should take into account. Namely: (1) The Fundamentals of Copyright and Trademark Law; (2) How IP Affects Artists in Practice; (3) Copyright and Trademark Issues to Consider; and (4) Best Practices. The workshop will feature representatives from the IP Innovation Clinic (Osgoode Hall Law School, York University).
