Observatory Event: TONIGHT! The Orionids Observing

Welcome to the York University Allan I Carswell Astronomical Observatory Special Orionids Event! Tonight Oct. 18!

As a special feature this month, we are running a Orionids public viewing at our Atrium location on York University Keele Campus! This is a FIRST CLEAR NIGHT EVENT, running tonight Oct 18 from 7pm! The weather is currently CLEAR so stop by TONIGHT. For weather updates and all information (including how to get tickets!) see our website at

Visitors currently are limited to York staff/student/faculty & York Ids are needed to register. Please make sure to bring your YorkU id when arriving for an in person tour. Per campus restrictions, all tour attendees will need to be masked.

The location is ‘Arboretum Lane Parking Garage’ this is across the campus walk opposite the Petrie Science and Engineering building. To enter the atrium location, just go to the top of the parking garage You will then just follow the signs over to the telescopes and your guides will be spread out across the top floor. Please keep in mind only one ticket booking per person is currently allowed.

Our regular online public viewing will continue every Monday evening from 9-10pm ET, with audio from York Universe on and broadcasting at:
