National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2024 Hybrid Panel Event
It has been four years since Sept. 30 was declared the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Please join us in honouring the day by attending our hybrid panel event featuring five York University faculty members. Panellists will be reflecting on what the day means to them, how acknowledging the day inspires their teaching and learning, and how taking action is accomplished in their everyday lives beyond the month of September. Susan Dion, AVP of Indigenous initiatives, will MC the panel that features Indigenous and non-Indigenous speakers.
A ceremonial fire will be lit and tended to by Fire Keeper Johnny Moore. All attendees are invited to Skennen’kó:wa Gamig following the panel to enjoy light refreshments.
