MES Research Presentations
The Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change (EUC) is delighted to present the research of MES graduates, now PhD students, Kelly Gingrich and Cole Weber!
Kelly Gingrich, MES, is a first year Environmental Studies PhD Student in EUC. She is studying environmental and climate change education as prefigurative, participatory and place-based practices,
with a particular interest in post-capitalist economic transitions towards degrowth and climate justice. Her doctoral research is at the intersection of degrowth and climate education.
Cole Weber, MES, is also a first year Environmental Studies PhD Student in EUC. He is a long time activist in tenant struggles. His MES major paper argues that housing research does not adequately theorize economic and political power. The paper analyzes public documents and archival materials on state intervention in rental housing in Canada from 1941-1995.
This is an in-person event only at the Health Nursing & Environmental Studies (HNES) Building, Rm 138, York University.
EVERYONE WELCOME!
