March Break Science Camp (grades 3 to 8) at Keele Campus
Register now for March Break Science Camps at York, hosted by Science Engagement Programs in the Faculty of Science! Join us from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20 at the Keele Campus to engage in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
Campers will be immersed in a variety of exciting and unique activities and experiments exploring elements of science and engineering. Activities include, but not limited to:
Junior Science & Engineering (Grade 3/4)
Investigate how water moves in plants by creating your own colourful carnation;
Save your egg astronaut by building them a device to safely land back to Earth unharmed;
And more!
Intermediate Science & Engineering (Grade 5/6)
Discover the electromagnetic spectrum by examining x-rays;
Explore structural engineering by designing and building a rollercoaster;
And more!
Senior Science & Engineering (Grade 7/8)
Exploring aerodynamics to engineer their own gliders;
Utilize an assay to correctly identify various chemical reactions;
And more!
Date: March 16 to 20
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with free before (8-9 a.m.) and after-care (4-5 p.m.)
Fee: $325/student
Extended-Care (5-6 p.m.): additional $30/student for the week
