Let’s Get Exam Ready: Breaking Down Assignments
In this interactive workshop designed for multilingual students the ESL Open Learning Centre (OLC) team will share tips and strategies on how to deconstruct and complete course assignments efficiently and successfully. Students will engage into the following activities:
- Practice analyzing assignment prompts and interpreting instructions;
- Compare the requirements for the most commonly used written assignments across different disciplines (e.g. argumentative paper, literature review, critical response, case study, lab report);
- Identify the steps to break down the tasks and effective time management techniques.
