LEGALLY RADICAL? The Role of Law in Emancipatory Struggles with Jessica Whyte

The seminar Series is titled: LEGALLY RADICAL? The Role of Law in Emancipatory Struggles. The seminar intends to explore the dynamics of the ‘Shift to Law’ in contemporary politics, that is, how political and social movements progressively turn to law -translating their political claims into legal language- as their primary site for the pursuit of an elusive political emancipation.
In our first session, on Monday, March 1, 2021, 4 p.m. EST time, we will have, as the main speaker, Jessica Whyte, author of The Morals of the Market: Human Rights and the Rise of Neoliberalism.
