Leaving the Promised Land

We are pleased to invite you to a panel discussion entitled “Leaving the Promised Land” on Sunday, Jan. 16 at 12 p.m. on Zoom. In this second panel of the series, Professors Steven Gold (Michigan State University), Rina Cohen (York University), and Uzi Rehbun (Hebrew University) will be discussing those who have left Israel to become residents of other countries without fully integrating into the local Jewish communities. They note the strong links these Israeli expatriates have to each other and to Israel, as well as the varying levels of connectivity and identification they have with existing Jewish communities in the United States, Canada, and Germany.
