Junior – Science Club (Theme C)

January’s Science Club will explore the wonderful world of plant biology, physiology, and anatomy. Students will discover how to critically think and analyze everyday chemical substances, and will build and engineer projectile objects to learn fundamental physical laws. Our instructors will lead classes in hands-on interactive lessons where you will:
Become expert botanists and plant biologists by learning about the physiology, anatomy, and functions of plants, roots, and flowers, while learning about biological classification techniques, hands-on plant dissections, and exploring the micro and macro level of plants.
Learn about the field of analytical chemistry by exploring how chemists discover and analyze the identity of unknown chemicals and substances. Students will learn about chemical and physical changes of substances through invisible ink, and about the different states of matter by exploring the properties of dry ice.
Design, develop and execute plans to create flying objects and projectiles to learn about the world of physics and engineering, while learning about the physical concepts of lift and force!
