Israel and the Diaspora

This panel discussion highlights Jewish peoplehood and cohesiveness in the Americas. The focus is on the relationship between Israel and the Jewish communities in the United States, Canada, and Latin America. The panelists will discuss the ever-changing nature of their relationships, especially among so-called millennials and Generation Z. They will also consider the importance of Jewish identification and its relationship to Israel, as well as other issues.

Our distinguished speakers include Prof. Sergio DellaPergola (Hebrew University), Prof. Judit Bokser Liwerant (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico), Prof. Ariela Keysar (Trinity College), and Prof. Leonard Saxe (Brandeis University). The Panel will be moderated by Prof. Uzi Rebhun of the Hebrew University.
