Healthier Coping Strategies: Alcohol and Drug Use During Pandemic Times

Since the start of the pandemic alcohol consumption among Canadians has increased. The pandemic may have negatively impacted many students and their mental health and well-being. Coping mechanisms such as alcohol, drugs and other substances use sometimes increases with the level of stress and uncertainty .
The aim of this workshop is to support students in implement harm reduction strategies for moderating alcohol and drug use. Healthier coping strategies are explored in supporting feelings of anxiety, isolation during uncertain times.
