York University’s postdoctoral researchers are invited to join a two-part funding workshop series designed to empower postdocs to secure research funding, both now and in the future.
Join Jane Ramachandran of Resonant Solutions, a seasoned expert with nearly three decades of grant-writing experience, for specialized sessions on finding and applying for grant funding.
Session One: Grants 101 for Postdoctoral Researchers
Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 1:00-2:00 PM ET
Led by Jane Ramachandran, this workshop will introduce the fundamentals of funding. Topics include different types of funding, assessing your grant readiness, techniques for finding the right funding sources, and how to make your research ideas stand out.
By the end of the workshop, you will be better equipped to identify the right grants for your needs and position your ideas more competitively.

Data and Recording Policy
Attendees will have the opportunity to complete a very brief survey before and after the workshop to understand its impact and improve future events. All survey data is anonymous, and no identifying information will be collected. The teaching and presentation portions will be recorded for liability and further training purposes. The Q&A segment will not be recorded. No personal data will be shared nor sold.
