Food & Mood: From Gut Health to Mental Heatlh

How does the food you consume affect your grades and your ability to handle life’s challenges and stressors?   This peer-led workshop aims to help educate students on the relationship to nutrition and food choices in how it impacts well-being and our ability to manage stress.

Did you know 90% of serotonin (aka our happy hormone) receptors are in your gut? In the relatively new field of nutritional psychiatry our gut health and food choices can play a huge impact on positively or negatively affect our mood.

This practical workshop shares tips on mood boosting food and nutritional hacks with simple and practical recipes on a student budget.
