Food and Mood: Gut Health to Mental Health

How does the food you consume affect your grades and your ability to handle life’s challenges and stressors?   This peer-led workshop aims to help educate students on the relationship between nutrition and food choices and how they impact well-being and our ability to manage stress.

Did you know 90 per cent of serotonin (a.k.a. our happy hormone) receptors are in the gut? The relatively new field of nutritional psychiatry shows that gut health and food choices can positively or negatively affect mood.

This practical workshop shares tips on mood-boosting food and nutritional hacks with simple and practical recipes on a student budget.
