Film Screening and Q&A: The Changing Face of Iceland

On Thursday, March 9 at 12:30 p.m., join renowned filmmaker Mark Terry, an adjunct professor in York University’s Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change (EUC), for a film viewing and Q&A on The Changing Face of Iceland, his latest documentary about the impacts of climate change on the island nation of Iceland.

The documentary examines the toll climate change has taken on Iceland’s glaciers, land, flora, fauna, fish, economy and people. The film also includes exclusive footage of the recent eruptions of Fagradalsfjall, an active volcano only 40 kilometres from Iceland’s capital, Reykjavík.

Admission is free to this event, but we ask that you bring a donation of non-perishable food or basic need items to be provided to the YFS Food Support Centre, which provides support for students experiencing food insecurity.
