Graduate School: The Hidden Curriculum
The Faculty of Graduate Studies is hosting a session entitled Graduate School: The Hidden Curriculum. Join us!
Graduate school involves more than coursework, research, and degree milestones. Beyond the formal requirements exists a “hidden curriculum”—the unwritten expectations, academic norms, professional practices, and ways of navigating scholarly communities that shape the graduate experience. This session explores these often-unspoken aspects of academic life and provides practical strategies for building confidence, accessing resources, developing networks, and successfully navigating graduate school. Whether you are new to graduate studies or looking to better understand the culture of academia, this workshop will help make the invisible more visible.
