LaunchYU has partnered with York University’s Divison of Advancement to bring you the LaunchYU Speaker Series, a series featuring top York University alumni entrepreneurs. Each part of the series will aim to capture the real stories, challenges, successes and failures that they have encountered in their journeys.
These talks are meant to inspire, motivate and educate the audience on the realities of launching a startup in today’s world.

As president and CEO of Blueprint, Dan Shimmerman is blazing a trail for Blueprint as the global standard for the rapidly emerging requirements definition management (RDM) market. Hehas a proven track record of success in delivering strategic vision and value for all stakeholders. Prior to joining Blueprint, he was president and CEO of Varicent Software, a global provider of sales performance management solutions, which was acquired by IBM in 2012. Over the course of his career, he has worked with a wealth of world-class clients, including Citi, JPMC, Bank of America, Nike, Ford, Deutsche Bank, Manulife Insurance, Aetna Insurance, Zurich, Lincoln Financial Group, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, General Electric and Jim Beam Brands.
