Drawing Essentials is a series of miniature workshops where you will learn the basics of drawing, and work through several lessons to design and draw your very own still life artwork. All you need is a pen/pencil and paper.
Whya Still Life Drawing? Still lives make you better at drawing. When drawing a still life you’re working with all of the elements of art, and practicing object relativity as well as observational drawing.
Every Monday, we will release a video and exercise on a specific drawing technique that you can practice on your own. On the Friday evening of the same week, there will be a livestream via Zoom to ask questions and share your progress. All relevant links and materials for each lesson will be circulated through the Calumet & Stong Colleges mailing list on the Monday of each date listed on the schedule.
Note:Prior to attending the live-stream session, please ensure you complete all videos and exercises linked below as the live-stream will build upon these drawing skill foundations.
