The Diversity in Finance Network (DIFN) is hosting our highly anticipated 4th Annual Diversity in Finance Conference is on January 24th at CIBC Square! This year’s presenting sponsor is CIBC Capital Markets.
The conference is open to students across Canada studying full-time at a Canadian university or college. Our full-day event will expose students to a variety of panels, workshops, and networking opportunities with top firms.
Students eligible to apply but are not limited to those who identify as one or more of the following: female, veteran status, lower socioeconomic status, international/newcomer/first-generation to Canada, an Indigenous Person (First Nations, Inuit, Métis), 2SLGBTQ+, a person with a disability, and/or a visible minority. In general, if you can explain how you feel disadvantaged and how this conference can help you, you will be considered.
The Diversity in Finance Network (DIFN) is a newly established non-profit organization focused on supporting undergraduate and graduate students in Canada from diverse backgrounds by providing opportunities typically not available to them. We support traditional and non-traditional definitions of diversity, and seek to educate and skill up students so they can compete with those who may have specific advantages. There is many different ways you can be disadvantaged and we seek to support anyone who can demonstrate they need this opportunity.
How do I register?
To register for this event, follow the steps below:
- Log-in to Experience York
- Select “Employer Events” in the menu on the left-hand side of the page
- Navigate to the event you want to register for in the events calendar
- Select the event and click the “Register for the event” button in the event listing
