Set in your childhood basement, The Forest Ends With You, is a magical-realist exploration of suburbia and its pressures on the young people who inhabit it. The show follows a group of teenage friends through the night after they find the dead body of their former classmate, Elliott. As pieces of the puzzle of his death come out of the woodwork, their favourite video game begins to come alive in a grotesque way. Implicating its audience in its mystical world of Markham, Ontario, The Forest Ends With You is a Y2K multimedia explosion of what it means to grow up in an environment that presses for conformity.
