Sandra Trebunia, Refugee women choices, interdependence and well-being in Sao Paulo
Sandra Trebunia is a final-year PhD Social Work student at the University of Lincoln, United Kingdom. Sandra’s research examines refugee women’s experiences of settlement in Sao Paulo and explores the potential of social work to support women’s agency. Her research interests include: integration theories, feminist theories, postcoloniality, multiculturalism and urban settlement. Before studying at Lincoln, Sandra worked as social worker in refugee camps in Poland and Belgium and volunteered in humanitarian project in Palestine.
Pierre-André Thériault, Visa officer decision-making and judicial review in Canada’s refugee resettlement program
Pierre-André Thériault is a Ph.D. candidate in law at Osgoode Hall Law School of York University. He was a Schulich Fellow at the Schulich School of Law of Dalhousie University in 2018-2019. He practices refugee law and is a co-editor of Refuge: Canada’s Journal on Refugees.
