Commemorative Celebration for Professor Alain Baudot

Glendon’s Office of the Principal invites you to a celebration of the life of Professor Emeritus Alain Baudot on Thursday, May 26 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Baudot was one of the very first professors at Glendon. Founder of the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies and the Doctorate in Francophone Studies, and Director of the Master’s in French Studies and the Master’s in Translation Studies programs, Alain was an important pillar of the Glendon community.

Baudot was also a great figure in the Franco-Canadian publishing world. Founding director of Éditions du GREF (Research Group in Francophone Studies), he supported generations of authors. He himself contributed more than 200 articles and several books.

Let’s come together in the Dining Hall of York Hall and share stories in tribute to Professor Baudot.

Register for the event by May 19 here: https://bit.ly/3N5RtHT

We will announce opportunities to honour Alain Baudot remotely if you are unable to join us in person.
